A: For WireGuard VPN cameras: insert SIM, power on — the camera auto-establishes the VPN tunnel and appears in your dashboard within minutes. For static IP cameras: configure the camera IP settings and register the device in the cloud dashboard.
Q3 :How many cameras can the platform handle simultaneously?
A: The platform backend handles 10,000+ simultaneous device heartbeats. Dashboard viewing supports up to 16 cameras simultaneously over cellular, and up to 64 cameras over fixed or private network.
Q4 :Does WireGuard VPN work with M2M SIM cards that have no public IP?
A: Yes. The camera initiates an outbound WireGuard tunnel to AirLink's cloud server — no inbound connection needed, no public IP required on the SIM. Ideal for M2M deployments with standard data plans.
Q5 :Can I remotely access the camera's full web UI through the VPN?
A: Yes. Through the VPN tunnel you can access the camera's complete web interface — IP settings, subnet, gateway, and firmware updates — directly from the cloud dashboard browser. No VPN client software required.
Q6 :What AP options are available for Wi-Fi HaLow deployments?
A: AirLink offers three HaLow AP models: 100mW AP (standard indoor), 1W AP (medium-range outdoor), and 2W AP (maximum range, up to 3km open field). For large-scale deployments, the 2W AP paired with 5G backhaul and WireGuard VPN is recommended.
